How it counts
- Each shift counts toward every hour from its start to its end, including the hours after midnight. Breaks aren't taken out.
- Everyone on a shift counts the same, whatever their role.
The planner runs in your browser. Nothing you type is sent anywhere or saved, so closing the page clears it.
Common questions
- What are clinician-hours?
- The hours each person is on shift, added up for the day. Two people on 12-hour shifts are 24 clinician-hours.
- Can I set different needs for different days?
- Not yet. One set of needs covers all seven days of the week.
- How do I mark the hours we're closed?
- Set the people needed to 0 for those hours, as the urgent care sample does from 20:00 to 08:00.
- Can I use the result elsewhere?
- Download the CSV. Excel and Google Sheets open it.
