Common questions
- How many hours should I have between shifts?
- Aim for at least 11 hours. That is the EU's minimum daily rest, and shift work researchers recommend it too. Read the evidence.
- How many night shifts in a row is too many?
- A 2020 consensus of shift work researchers recommended no more than 3 in a row. Read the evidence on runs of nights.
- Does the free check keep my schedule?
- No. Our server reads a link once, sends back only the shift times and keeps nothing.
- Can I track my hours privately?
- Yes. With a free account, My hours tracks your hours, nights and short turnarounds, and no one in your department can read it.
