Common questions

Is home call treated like any other shift?
No. Mark a shift as home call and Capillary doesn't check rest before or after it or count its hours. You still can't double-book anyone. So a surgeon on home call overnight can take the morning OR shift. Capillary can't tell who was called in. If someone was up overnight, move their morning shift yourself.
Is the call schedule maker free?
Yes. It runs in your browser with no account, and the result downloads as a CSV file.
Can Build my month fill call?
It fills single call shifts, such as one surgeon each night. Assign call weeks yourself, and it fills around them.
Does Next month's draft read call from our calendar?
No. It leaves out backup and on-call entries and tells you how many. Add call shifts to the month yourself.
Does Capillary page the person on call?
No. Capillary sends email, and paging stays with your hospital's own system.
